By the time this column is published we will be ending our third week of isolation denied the privilege of attending church, social and athletic events as the Wuhan China Virus spreads across the country. Restaurants are closed as are entertainment areas and the only populated areas appear to be grocery stores. Schools and universities closed sending their children and students home. Airports and airplanes are virtually empty. It is eerie. President Donald Trump asked groups assembling not to exceed 10 persons to inhibit the spread of this unseen “killer.”
What is most concerning is that last year 34,000 people died in the United States from the flu and the media outlets never said a word. Nor did they the year before, 2017-2018 season, when 61,000 died of the flu, likely a less number than will die of the coronavirus in the U.S. this flu season. Indeed, it is estimated that 12,000-61,000 deaths occurred annually from the flu in the U.S. since 2010 (“This Is How Many People Die From the Flu Each Year, According to the CDC.” By Claire Gillespie , Health, February 11, 2020 ).
Why is this a pandemic and those every year preceding it not also pandemics resulting in closing down the economy, air travel and schools? Why did the media not respond as hysterically to the H1N1 Swine Flu epidemic in 2009 under Barack Obama when it killed approximately 17,000 Americans—far more than the coronavirus is likely to kill? (“Swine flu has killed up to 17,000 in U.S.: report” Maggie Fox, February 12, 2010).
Is the establishment media responsible for this pandemic of fear? Not the disease, of course, new strains are expected, but the unprecedented 24/7 hype driving everyone into isolation potentially bringing about a recession just before a presidential election that can only hurt President Trump?
The Center for Disease Control, CDC, reported as of February 11, 2020, 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US. and no deaths. By March 25, 2020 that number was 60,881 total U.S, cases and 838 deaths so the spread in America is significant, and serious, but compared to previous years, not abnormal.
So what is the death rate? The UK places it between 0.5% and 1% and Germany “less than half a per cent,” also not comparatively abnormal (BBC News “Coronavirus death rate: What are the chances of dying?” By Robert Cuffe Head of Statistics, March 24, 2020).
The Atlantic in a March 22, article, “Red and blue America aren’t experiencing the same pandemic,” wrote of the “disconnect” between the two parties regarding the virus noting that “States with Republican governors have been slower, or less likely, than those run by Democrats to impose restrictions on their residents.” They observed that the same is so concerning rural verses urban communities.
But the real reason for the divide, not mentioned by the Atlantic, but noticed by virtually everyone on the right side of the political spectrum, centers on the establishment’s intention to remove President Donald Trump from office at any cost, thus far short of assassination. This might include the politicalization of a flu virus, heretofore taking thousands of Americans annually but hardly mentioned by the press—any press!
Republicans simply do not trust the establishment media. It has been behind nearly four years of constant coup attempts against the president and was responsible for hyping this virus to panic levels before a single American had the virus, certainly before an American death from it.
Let’s review these attempts. Three happened simultaneously before Trumps took office. Spygate and the Trump Tower wiretapping, Demonstrations in cities all over the United States flared up, presumably funded by George Sores, to refuse the results of the 2016 election with signs “Not My President” and finally, the Republican “Never Trumper” movement erupted. Once inaugurated the effort to get someone in his administration to declare him unfit so as to use the 25th Amendment to remove him followed. Then the Russia Hoax and the resultant 2 1/2 year Robert Mueller Investigation. This followed by disclosure of the FBI/CIA Coup attempt to unseat him, next the Ukrainian Hoax, followed by the failed Impeachment attempt. Nine easily documented attempts to remove him.
Trump endured four Congressional investigations, the Mueller and Horowitz Reports, each exonerated him, and the US Senate Impeachment trial acquitting him. Trump suffered more unjustified opposition/persecution than all U.S. presidents combined.
All major news outlets: MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and the affiliates of the above, supported all the attempts to destroy this president, thus totally destroying their credibility with the right side of the political spectrum. All pipe the same hate Trump rhetoric. All are globalist establishment media outlets. All favored Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election. All have become the media arm of the Democratic Party. All panicked over the Wahun China Virus piping only hysteria sending Americans into hoarding and hiding and potentially causing unemployment in the millions, perhaps to destroy the economy before the election.
So why shouldn’t Republicans and Independents consider media overreaction—even weaponization—of the Wahun China Virus, yet another coup attempt to unseat their president? Establishment Deep State coverage of him is hostile no matter what he does.
President Trump just suggested on national television that a possible cure for the Coronavirus is injecting disinfecting into people’s blood streams because he heard that disinfectant kills the virus in a about a minute.
The problems afflicting our nation which magnify the present situation with the Pandemic have been growing for decades and remained unresolved, now I will list them here :
(a) The diminishing Middle Class as a result of transfiguring manufacturing outside the USA. No provisions were implemented to ease the loss of labor intensive manufacturing on the Middle Class and employment.
(b) Unresolved Healthcare issues with a growing epidemic of obesity, diabetes, emotional disorders even in children
(c) Undiminished Drug Trafficking and the use of such drugs within the USA and Europe. Drug Trafficking Policies as stated often by responsible members of the Armed Forces failed.
(d) For decades , a failure to establish some Border Immigration Policies
(e )A decaying 50 year old Infrastructure : roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, water treatment plants etc….
These issues today which when carefully considered have a synergistic effect they cause facing the Pandemic a task which impacts the future of our nation in a very dangerous manner.
As a result of the Pandemic and the government mandated lock down, businesses have been shutdown, there are over 20 mullion Americans unemployed.
After the pandemic is brought to a halt , will the economy recover and the vast majority of the unemployed be able to return to work ?? (see comments below)
If one tries to examine the core causes for these unresolved and growing problems , there are two major causes :
(1) The lack of accountability from the government
(2) The lack of active participation of citizens in the problem resolution due to several reasons including the idea of the problems being difficult to understand.
It was Bill gates and the Founder of Facebook who stated jointly in an interview that due to the implementation of AI and Robotics , there would be a loss of 40 million jobs in the USA over a 10 year period or so. Obviously some new jobs will be generated within the AI/Robotics Industries , including high tech manufacturing.

As a consequence of the failure from Government to resolve the outlined problems above, and without citizens active participation to hold government accountable, the Pandemic and its consequences for the economy, and related health issues (of a national magnitude ) seem almost insurmountable,
And the government budget deficit quoted as 25 trillion dollars (www.usdebtclck.org ) would call for a miracle to straighten out the MESS????

From January 15 to about 2 weeks ago the President did nothing to mobilize the public health system in America. He did manage to hold 11 rallies and play golf 6 times.
On the death certificates of every one of those unfortunates, the immediate cause of death will list something like “COVID-19 infection.” The contributing cause should read: “The incompetence of Donald Trump.”
I usually enjoy and agree with most of your analysis Dr Pease, but as of today, March 31, 2020, World Coronavirus Count: 809,000 infected, 39,563 dead . It is exponentially rising. Doubling every 2 to 6 days depending on the country. We know China is flat lying now about their dead and dying and infected as we get videos from people on the inside, when they can send them out, and there were 40,000 urns of ashes picked up from funeral homes, many more than they admitted, Herein the states we aren’t getting the testing, they simply won’t test folks that don’t reach a certain age or other criteria, still ignoring that this is being shed by asymptomatic positives. SO we can’t hope to get the true numbers here. I got something, but only because I fight anything with higher dose C D and A, I get over it. But I did get something and I haven’t been out, i am at high risk. But the fact that it has damaged the world economy, is nothing to take lightly. Francis Boyle says this has been engineered from the Spanish flu, and that was horrible. Millions died and spread very quickly to every corner of the world. Maybe the numbers don’t scare you now, but this isn’t done yet.
Here’s my viewpoint though. In the early 90’s I read about the New World Order and their goals. And about the fiat money system (loss of the gold backing our currency). That alone should have brought us down to a depression. But no, somehow, we limped along and seemed to be prospering also, up and down, but I have been waiting for the Crash all these years because a world can’t run just on thought waves. (That’s what the stock market is. The commodities market at least is based on real goods). But no, it held off and held off. Even though it was messing up the markets and the free market to be specific. Then, when Trump came in, he did his level best to fix the country back to a more proper market, and to give the people their most precious rights, to preserve them. He really is the first president I have ever been happy with. And mind you I was a JFK Democrat until 1993, when Clinton violated 8 amendment rights of the Branch Davidians. I couldn’t remain a Democrat. But Trump has given me hope. Only now. The New World Order power mongers have found a way, and yes, if Covid 19 is engineered, it was saved for just such an occasion, to destroy the good work Trump has done. Because how do you fight a germ that kills a lot of your people and people all over the world? It’s a real threat and yes it may have been planted )none of the Washington victims had contact with any original Covid victims). And then you have stupid punks licking handles and coughing on food and people, because when our leaders were giving in to snowflake doublespeak, and removing the ten commandments from public buildings, they were telling the world, do what thou wilt , there are no more social rules, act like fools. And this is what we get when society made that decision.
Further up the line, Bible Prophesies that when a world crisis happens, the Beast (antichrist, there are two), will be put forward as the savior with the solution to all this mess, and problems will melt away. And the world will worship him, and love him and take the mark of the beast for him. It had to happen. maybe it will be with this pandemic, or maybe a little later, but we should have had our larders stocked and been prepared just normal living, before this. We were warned, by many.
